Auxiliary Supports Emergency Department Renovation and Expansion

The Barnesville Hospital Auxiliary has made a pace setting gift of $250,000 to Now is the Time, the Campaign for the Barnesville Hospital Emergency Department.

The dedication, enthusiasm and support we receive from our Auxiliary is amazing and inspires others, said David Phillips, Barnesville Hospital, CEO. A gift of this magnitude is a tremendous way to begin our campaign for our much needed Emergency Department renovation and expansion project.

Barnesville Hospital is launching a $3.5 million Emergency Department renovation and expansion project which will provide private treatment rooms, enhanced triage capabilities and a private waiting room for family and patients. In addition an urgent care component will be added.

The Auxiliary is absolutely delighted to be able to make this gift, said Carol Crooks, Auxiliary President. We work hard year round to raise funds for the Hospital and I cannot imagine a project we would rather support than the new Emergency Department.

Construction for the Emergency Department project will last approximately 18 months and should be completed summer 2015.
