Jessica Hibbs, R.C.P, R.R.T., recently transitioned to a Leadership position as the new Cardiopulmonary Manager at Barnesville Hospital. Prior to assuming her new role, Jessica worked as a PRN Respiratory Therapist at the hospital. Licensed in both Ohio and West Virginia, Jessica has a broad background in the respiratory therapy field. A graduate of West Virginia Northern Community College, Jessicas career began as a student at Barnesville. After graduation, she remained employed in a PRN capacity. She has worked at Genesis Healthcare System in Zanesville as a staff therapist and clinical coordinator, as well as Acuity Specialty Hospital and Medi Home Care as a staff therapist.
Ms. Hibbs is a member of the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).
When asked what prompted her decision to get into healthcare, Jessica expressed a strong desire to help others. She cites her most gratifying healthcare experience as, Knowing that you can make a difference in someone elses life. She believes fiscal constraints due to reductions in reimbursement will be her biggest challenge in her new role.
Raised in Belmont, Ohio, Jessica is the daughter of Michael Orr of Barnesville and Cathy Nixon of Martins Ferry. She has 2 siblings, Melissa Johnson & James Orr, nephew, Jacob Johnson, and niece, Hayden Orr. Currently residing in Martins Ferry, Jessica is the proud mother to a 2-year old son, Ross Michael, and is engaged to Shawn Miles of Pittsburgh. Jessica enjoys spending time with family, walking her Dalmatian puppy, Nomex, and reading.
