Recently, Sarah Davis, R.N., B.S.N., joined the staff of Belmont Professional Associates, a subsidiary of Barnesville Hospital, as Group Practice Manager. Davis had previously worked for the Hospital as a Critical Care Nurse. According to David Phillips, Barnesville Hospital CEO, We are excited to have someone of Sarahs quality rejoin our team. She will be a tremendous asset to the organization in the physician practice management area. Sarah expressed, Im very happy to be back with the Barnesville Hospital family. She believes healthcare reform will pose her some of the largest challenges.
Belmont Professional Associates (BPA) is a non-profit, multi-specialty physician practice with locations in Morristown and Barnesville, Ohio. BPA provides primary and surgical care to residents of Belmont, Monroe, Guernsey, Noble, and Harrison Counties and is dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare possible to the patients they serve.
Sarah has a broad range of experience. She worked at Barnesville Health Care Center as a state tested nurses aide, (STNA), while studying nursing at Belmont College. After graduating in 2004 with an Associate Degree in Nursing, she worked at East Ohio Regional Hospital on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit before coming to work in the Critical Care Department at Barnesville Hospital. While working at Barnesville Hospital, she decided to further her education, graduating from Ohio University in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She has worked at Union Local Schools as a substitute school nurse. Immediately prior to taking the Group Practice Manager position, Davis was the Director of Quality at Ohio Hills Health Services.
Sarah, a lifelong resident of Bethesda, is the daughter of Phil and Carol Bolon and the youngest of six daughters. She, as well as three siblings, work in healthcare. When asked what made her decide to go into healthcare, Sarah expressed a strong desire to help others. She says, I grew up hearing stories of my grandmother, Emma Jean Bolon. She was a graduate of the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing and worked for Dr. Brown.
Sarah and husband, Matt, have been married for ten years. Matt is also in healthcare as an x-ray technician and part owner of MDI Mobile X-Ray, LLC. They have two daughters, Emma, age 8, who is in the second grade at Union Local Elementary and Lindsey, age 4, who attends Kids-R-Kids preschool in Bethesda.
Sarah is excited to work in the same area where her family resides. Her role as Practice Manager will involve overseeing the family medicine practices of Joseph Durkalski, D.O., Shaun Roe, D.O. and Carissa Allen, PA-C at Morristown Family Medicine. In addition, she will oversee the family medicine practice of Carol Narkevic, M.D. and the internal medicine practices of P.K. Souri, M.D. and Abhishek Shahi, M.D.at Barnesville Medical Center. Also at Barnesville Medical Center, Mrs. Davis will work with the surgical practices of Keith Knupp, M.D., general surgery, and Joel Link, M.D., ENT surgery.
