Barnesville Hospital is now offering Department of Transportation approved legal urine collections and breathalyzer testing. All testing is conducted in a strictly confidential manner.
“Many local businesses, including our Hospital, had to send their employees out of the area for testing. For the convenience of our community, we decided that this was a service we should provide at Barnesville Hospital,” said Shawn Meier, Lab Manager at Barnesville Hospital. “Our staff went through rigorous training programs for both the legal urine collections and proper use of the breathalyzer. We have been offering both of these services since March and have had a very positive response.”
Testing is provided for pre-employment screening, random selection, reasonable suspicion, post accident, return to duty and follow up testing.
“All of our employees, including our seasonal summer employees, are required to have a pre-employment drug screen,” said Roger Deal, Barnesville Village Administrator. “We are thrilled to be able to use Barnesville Hospital for our drug testing. Previously when a driver would get randomly pulled for CDL testing it would result in almost a half day of missed work. Barnesville Hospital is convenient and they get our workers in and out. It has worked out great.”
