Cadette Troop #3245 is making a difference in the lives of others! When the Troop learned that some adult patients at Barnesville Hospital could benefit from bibs, these girls were eager to help.
“Due to illness, older patients may have difficulty in feeding themselves,” said Joginder Kaur, RD, Dietitian, Barnesville Hospital. “Yet, it is important for us to allow our patients to be as independent as possible. No one wants to spill food on their clothing, so the washable, cloth bibs the girls made are the perfect solution.”
The members of the troop met and decided that creating and sewing bibs would be a great project. They chose an assortment of colors to make the bibs fun.
“We are so grateful to troop #3245 for taking on this project,” said Paula Butler, RN, Nurse Manager, Barnesville Hospital. “These bibs will allow us to encourage our patients to be as independent as possible.”
Members of Cadette Troop #3245 who participated in this project are Kaylee Graham, Lakyn Abrigg, Alyssa Carter, Anna Cline, Julie Johnson, Haley Bell, Isabella Taylor, Gabriella Compton, Ciarra Lucas, Olivia Stephen and Mackenzie Orum. Staci Graham is the Troop Leader.
